Kamillosan Ointment contains extracts of natural chamomile 10.5% (standardised to contain 0.01% L-a-bisabolol), in a base containing maize oil, purified lanolin and beeswax. Other ingredients include yellow soft paraffin, beeswax, emulsifying wax and approved preservative (mixtures of p-hydroxybenzoic acid).

For breastfeeding mothers, when used regularly, Kamillosan can help prevent nipples becoming sore. If soreness occurs, Kamillosan revieves the symptoms so that breast-feeding may continue. Kamillosan is also effective in the prevention and treatment of nappy rash and nappy chafe.

Kamillosan can also provide soothing relief from minor sore skin conditions including chapped hands.

Directions for use (for external use only)

Prevention and treatment of sore nipples: apply after breastfeeding. (To avoid the risk of discolouring clothing, the use of breast pads is recommended).

Nappy rash and nappy chafe: apply to sore area at nappy change.

Other minor sore skin conditions: apply twice daily as necessary

When using Kamillosan

If there is no improvement, or the condition deteriorates, you should consult your doctor. While medicines can have side-effects, the incidence of side-effects associated with Kamillosan is very low. Consult your doctor about any symptoms you think may be caused by the ointment.

Storage precautions

• Do not use this pack after the expiry date shown on the tube and carton.
• Keep all medicines safely away from children.
• This pack should be stored in a dry place, below 25°C.
